Matt & Darla Martin agree as pastor couple to lead the church plant from Martindale Mennonite Church.

The building committee offered $900,000 to Reamstown Church of God and they responded with a counter-offer of $980,000. It was agreed by the Parkview Leadership Team that this was fair price and the counter-offer was accepted.
A church name was discussed at length with many pros and cons of several different names. A motion was made and approved for Parkview Mennonite Church as the official name of the new congregation.
Roles of Small Group Coordinator and Trustee are filled to give support to the leadership team.
Deciding on a start date, order of service, and starting time are some items being discussed during this time.
Material items such as a sign, songbooks, A/V equipment and insurance are all details that are being ironed out.
Roles like Song leaders, Sunday School teachers, Greeters, Ushers and the Kitchen Committee are also configured.
The first service was held on January 10, 2010 and a fellowship meal followed the service.
Settlement for the church building transpired on January 29, 2010 with a loan amount of $670,600.
Lots of planning and organizing came during this year, including Host Family, Baby Dedication, Coffee Fellowship, Talent Night, structuring Parkview membership and planning for an ordination.
An ordination was planned to bring on a pastor and 2 elders. After names were given it was clear that 3 pastors should be called. John & Andrea Rutt, Roger & Arlene Martin, and Steve & Betty Martin were ordained as pastors.
The loan on the building is now $419,638.63
The first discipleship class takes place with 14 new members and 7 people transferring membership from another church.
Parkview member Wilmer Zimmerman crafted an oak pulpit and replaced the existing one.
The loan on the building is now $190,311.62
New projectors were installed in the sanctuary along with new basement stairs.
The loan on the building is now $109,299.17
The last loan payment was made and the $670,600 loan was paid off in a little over five years.
A new sound system was installed to update the antiqued sound equipment.
Being the building loans were paid off the decision was made to dedicate 2016 as a year of blessing for needs that arose around us.
The first Parkview Marriage Retreat was held for couples in the church.
The need was felt for more leaders, so Nelson & Christa Rutt, and Sheldon & Ashley Martin were ordained as pastors. A Worship Coordinator was also designated to bring more structure within the Worship Leaders and Song Leaders.
A process was started within the district in regards to church affiliation with Lancaster Conference. Much discussion, prayer, and communication ensued during 2019. At the end of the process, two congregations decided to part ways with the Martindale District and three congregations along with Parkview decided to stay within the district.
COVID-19 brought many challenges, mainly with how services were conducted. For a period of time all services were only live streamed. As restrictions loosened we started with 2 services and then eventually joyfully reconvened as an entire congregation.
A new roof and skylights were installed.
The Martindale District launched into a ten year vision of creating disciples and multiplying the body of Christ.
The sound room was expanded to include more room for video equipment. Also the men's bathroom was also remodeled and updated.
With a possible church plant, the need for more leaders was felt. Morgan and Carisa Newswanger were ordained as Pastor.
